Bishop Joseph A. Galante prays the rosary with pro-life activists outside the Cherry Hill Women’s Center, an abortion clinic located at 502 N. Kings Highway in Cherry Hill. Those outside the clinic that day were participating in the 40 Days for Life campaign, a community-based effort that draws attention to the evil of abortion through prayer and fasting, constant vigil and community outreach. The co-founders began the first campaign in Texas in 2004. By 2007 the campaign was national and since then there have been 845 campaigns in 307 cities across all 50 states and eight different countries. The current campaign in Cherry Hill began on Sept. 22.
