A day of service
Youth from the Parish of Saint Monica sort and package food for the needy last Saturday at Catholic Charities’ headquarters in Atlantic City during the Mother Teresa Day of Service. The day began with Mass at two locations, Saint John Church in Collingswood and Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Atlantic City, before volunteers spent time working at Catholic Charities offices, nursing homes, food banks and shelters. The day was held on Sept. 10, the 70th anniversary of Saint Teresa’s “call within the call” that led her to devote her life to working among the poorest of the poor. Photo by Alan M. Dumoff
