An Addiction and Substance Abuse Workshop will take place on Wednesday, June 12, at Church of the Holy Family in Sewell.
Sponsored by the Office of Lifelong Faith Formation, the workshop will focus on such topics as the difference between substance use, substance abuse and addiction; how to have a conversation with someone about their substance abuse problem; and what the Catholic Church teaches about addiction.
Presenting the workshop will be Sylvia C. Loumeau, a licensed clinical social worker and director of the Division of Clinical Services for Catholic Charities; and Patricia Bruner, , Clinical Director of the Outpatient Behavioral Health Department for Catholic Charities.
