Students from Camden Catholic, Gloucester Catholic, and other area high schools performed the play “Deliver Us from the Evil One: The Trials and Triumphs of the Priest of Ars Jean-Marie Vianney,” remembering the Year of the Priest, which recently came to a close. Directed by Father Chuck Colozzi, Chaplain at Camden Catholic and Gloucester Catholic, the play was performed on Thursday, July 29 at Mary Queen of All Saints, Pennsauken; Friday, July 30 at St. John Vianney, Deptford; and on Saturday, July 31 at Christ Our Light, Cherry Hill. At left, a priest (Kieran McGirl) prays over the Vianney family: Matthew (Mike Franz), Marie (Holly McCaffrey), and young John Vianney (Jeff Nixon). McGirl and Franz also played the cop and John Vianney, respectively. Right photo, Father Colozzi portrays Satan.
