In boys’ high school basketball last week, two teams advanced to the semifinals of their respective tournaments. St. Augustine (Richland) prevailed over Camden Catholic (Cherry Hill) on March 7 by a score of 48-43 in a quarterfinal game of the South Jersey, Non-Public B tournament. Last Monday, however, the Hermits lost to Paul VI, 47-36, in a semifinal game. On March 6, Holy Spirit (Absecon) defeated Gill St. Bernard, 67-52, in the South Jersey Non-Public B quarterfinals. Two days later, they lost to Patrick School, 75-49, in the semifinals. Top left, Holy Spirit’s Leon Daniels goes up for 2 points.
