The SRAA Rowing Nationals recently took place on the Cooper River in Pennsauken and two Catholic schools in the Camden Diocese — Bishop Eustace, Pennsauken, and Holy Spirit, Absecon — made an impressive showing. Left, Bishop Eustace Boys Lightweight 8 are pictured holding their Silver Medal for second place among the best in the country. (St. Joseph Preparatory School, Philadelphia, took the gold medal.) Right, the Gold Medal Girls Lightweight 8 from Bishop Eustace pose for a photo with the Silver Medalists from Holy Spirit High School. “The girls traded wins throughout the year, and this was really the first time they found each other after the race to shake hands, laugh, and pose for pictures together,” said Bishop Eustace head coach Tom Thomas.
