‘Caritas’ at St. Augustine Prep

cathedralkitchen-webOn Friday, Sept. 10, St. Augustine Prep senior Chris Contrevo delivered more than 1,000 donated canned goods to the Cathedral Kitchen in Camden. Chris’ delivery was part of the Richland school’s “Caritas” summer service project, which requires upcoming seniors to perform community service during the school break. Reaching out to the local community all summer, Chris spoke after Masses at Holy Family Parish in Washington Township, and collected cans from parishioners, neighborhood residents, and visitors to the 5 Points Diner in Deptford. On the 27th, he met executive director Karen Talarico and chef Jonathan (above), to deliver the canned goods, and a monetary donation from Holy Family.
