Joined by parish priests, staff, parishioners, and students and families from Resurrection Catholic School, Bishop Dennis Sullivan presided at groundbreaking ceremonies for the new parish center and gymnasium at Christ Our Light in Cherry Hill on June 6.

The parish center and gymnasium will provide children and adult recreation, to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of parishioners, and include a high school regulation-size gym with hardwood floors; a senior center/social hall with access to a courtyard; meetings rooms with sinks, counters and storage; and an entrance lobby with donor recognition wall.

In addition, there will be front and back entrances, a full-size stage, snack bar, and an additional 80 parking spots.

At an expected cost of $4.5 million, the parish center and parking expansion is expected to be completed in 2016.
