The Student Leaders of Von Nieda Park Task Force, a group of sixth-eighth grade students from St. Anthony of Padua School, Camden, invites Camden County students (grades 6-10 and parents as well) to the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Community Organizing on Monday, Jan. 20.
The day will run from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and will include student-run icebreakers, an MLK original rap and presentation, a step-by step lesson on organizing, a walking tour of organizing wins, lunch and concurrent afternoon research meetings with officials.
Mayor Dana Redd, Chief of Camden Police Scott Thomson, and City Councilman Luis Lopez will attend.
