Diocese sells Gloucester Township property

On June 11, 2015 the Diocese of Camden sold the property on Peter Cheeseman Road in Gloucester Township which had formerly been used as the Saint Pius X Spiritual Life Center and a retreat facility.

The property was purchased by Recovery Centers of America which plans to use it as a substance abuse treatment facility, and also plans a “sober living” residential community that will facilitate — on a long-term basis — the rehabilitation work of the treatment facility. In this way the property will continue to be used to serve the people of South Jersey as it was when it was a spiritual life center and retreat facility. The property was sold for $6.3 million which has been placed in the Diocese’s general fund and will be used for diocesan and parish projects.
