Discovery Ministries opened its doors to its newly renovated house in Mullica Township on Saturday, April 14, inviting visitors for an open house, blessing and dedication. The all-day event featured a ribbon-cutting and performances from St. John of God Community Services, Westville Grove, and Marlton Special Needs students. The Discovery House has been used for youth, young adult, and family retreats since 1974, and now with the transformed home, will be able to provide social, recreational, and spiritual experiences for families with chronically ill children, handicapped children, or special needs children. Right, Msgr. Michael T. Mannion, director of community relations for the Diocese of Camden, joins in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
