Father James A. Casadia has been named pastor Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Glassboro, Oct. 11, and Priest Convener in the merger of Our Lady of Lourdes and Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Pitman.
Father Casadia, 36, spent the past eight months serving with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal at Most Blessed Sacrament in Newark, N.J. He was administrator of Assumption Parish, Atco, 2009-10.
Born in Vineland, Father Casadia attended Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J.; and St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Overbrook, Pa. He was ordained June 2, 2001, in Blackwood.
Father Casadia served as parochial vicar of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Vineland, 2001-03; St. Charles Borromeo, Sicklerville, 2003-06; and St. Ann, Wildwood, 2007-09.
He also has served as secretary to Bishop Joseph A. Galante; chaplain at St. Pius X Spiritual Life Center, Blackwood; chaplain at Sacred Heart High School, Vineland; assistant vocation director of recruitment; and member of the Presbyteral Council.
