Hearts Afire 4 God, a national musical production company, will present a concert on Sunday, April 22, 3-4:30 p.m., to celebrate the new St. Joseph Church in Sea Isle City.
Founded by Carl and Martie Granieri in 2001 and dedicated to the Blessed Mother, Hearts Afire answers a call to youth and adult evangelization via all forms of media, especially live performance.
Carl is a musical director and conductor in the showrooms of Atlantic City. Martie is a nurse educator and conference speaker who has worked extensively with youth, drug and alcohol abuse, care of the elderly and prison outreach. They co-host the Sunday radio program, Hearts Afire 4 God: Christian Unity Outreach. It can be heard 6-7 a.m. streaming live on www.WONDRadio.com.
One hundred singers from parishes all over the area have come together to form The Hearts Afire Festival Choir, including 40 youth from Holy Spirit High School in Absecon, accompanied by the 10-piece Hearts Afire Praise Band.
The 1st Bank of Sea Isle City is helping to sponsor the event. Tickets are $25 at www.HeartsinUnity.com. Clergy and religious are admitted free.
