The hard work is paying off as many parishes continue to strive toward their House of Charity goals.
Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Ocean City is reporting just over $52,000 raised to date as they pushed past their 2009 goal last week.
Fifteen parishes are within $5,000 and 12 parishes are within 15 percent of their individual goals. With $6.35 million raised to date, the efforts continue by many parishes to secure those gifts so necessary to help keep vital programs going for the poor and marginalized.
Donors are reminded that the appeal continues and that parishes will solicit donations until they have reached their individual goals. Gifts can be made by contacting the parish or by accessing the House of Charity website at www.camdendiocese.org and clicking the Disciples on the Journey or House of Charity link.
