Jason and Crystalina Evert will speak on chastity at two local parishes this month.
Chastity speaker Jason Evert and his wife, Crystalina, will speak to parents and teens on Tuesday, May 28, and Wednesday, May 29, in the Diocese of Camden.
In his May 28 talk for parents, from 6-8 p.m. at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish in Hammonton, Jason will talk on “Raising Pure Families” and offer communication techniques, resources, statistics and information to assist parents in their task as primary sex educators of their children. Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m., followed by the talk.
In his May 29 talk for teens, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish in Williamstown, Jason and Crystalina will talk on “Romance Without Regret,” revealing the compelling vision of God’s plan for human sexuality and present a case for practicing the virtue of chastity, in addressing issues such as sexual pressure, pornography, modesty and starting over.
Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m., followed by their talk. The evening is recommended for teens in grades 7-12 only, and parents are welcome to attend.
Chelsea Musick, a local Christian artist, will also perform during the evening.
Evert is the author of more than 10 books, including “Theology of the Body for Teens” and “How to Find Your Soulmate Without Losing Your Soul.” He has given chastity presentations for several years, including at World Youth Day in Spain and in Australia.
