John Paul II boys track team take league championship

On Saturday, May 15, the John Paul II Regional School, Stratford Boys Track Team took first in the 2010 Catholic Track League Championship Meet.

After 12 long years of competition, the Boy’s Track Team beat St. Rose of Lima, Haddon Heights.

This marks the second championship win in John Paul II School’s history. The Senior Boys 4×100 relay team took first at the Penn Relays in April. John Paul II Girl’s Track Team took third place overall in a competitive Girls Championship Meet.

First place performances:

Donny McMullin, 50 meter; Daemoni Frazier, 100 meter; Zac Young, long jump, 200 meter; Mawusi Mears, 400 meter, 800 meter; Amanda Darley, Knights of Columbus Award recipient for senior girls, 400 meter; Ryan Irving, Knights of Columbus Award recipient for senior boys, 1600 meter; Tyler Pagaduan, 200 meter; Jeanette Assi, first place with a 28’4” throw.

Senior boys 4×1 relay and Penn Relay champions: Eric Fiddler, Ryan Irving, Chris Rehrig and Tyler Pagaduan.
