Pat Harter retired on Feb. 29 after 29 years as parish secretary at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Cramer Hill, Camden, and 17 years before that at Holy Name in North Camden.
“Pat’s gentle presence had an impact not just on the parishioners, friars, parish staff, and school, but on the mail carrier, vendors, her fellow riders on the New Jersey Transit, and countless others,” said Father Jud Weiksnar, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua.
At her going-away breakfast at the Penn Queen Diner, a parish staff ritual, she received the Francis Medal, the highest honor bestowed by the Franciscans of Holy Name Province, for her years of faithful service.
