Knights host community awards ceremony at St. Joseph, Sea Isle City

The Knight of Columbus Madonna Maria Council 3560 recently honored a group of local citizens who have positively impacted their community. During a ceremony at St. Joseph Church in Sea Isle City, six honorees were given plaques.

Senior Citizen Award: Bob Lynch. Before his death in September, Lynch served as a lector and Eucharistic Minister, and co-chairman of Sea Isle City’s Town Watch/Town Pride.

Shield of the Year Award: Sean Mulholland, a New Jersey State Trooper who currently works in the state police’s Marine Division.

Teacher of the Year Award: Betsy Robinson, a teacher’s aid at Cape Trinity Catholic School in Wildwood.

Family of the Year Award: the Chabok-Utz clan, which includes Chris Utz, Connie Chabok and Casey Utz, 17 — all of whom are often seen volunteering during parish events and Masses. Chabok, who is a member of Parish Council, is also the parish’s lector coordinator.
