Mark Forrest, Irish tenor, to sing in Avalon

Irish tenor Mark Forrest, whose melodic voice has filled concert halls and cathedrals from Carnegie Hall to the Vatican, will perform during a meditative service at St. Brendan the Navigator Parish at Maris Stella Church, Avalon, Aug. 1 at 7 p.m. and again Aug. 2 for a concert.

The meditative service is a free will offering. The concert is $10 admission.

Tickets are available at the door the evening of the concert. Maris Stella Church is located at 5012 Dune Drive, Avalon.

The father of eight boys, Forrest, with his wife Muriel, founded the Faith and Family Foundation in 1999 to support individuals and families with special needs. Their efforts were inspired by the death of their third boy, Francesco, who lived only five days, “touching more people than I ever will in a lifetime,” Mark says.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Forrest was educated at The Royal College of Music and at the Catholic University of America’s Benjamin Rome School of Music.
