Mater Ecclesiae in Berlin is featured in the February 2015 issue of Regina Magazine, in the publication’s “Secret Catholic Insider Guide to Amazing Parishes.”
An online publication, Regina Magazine is primarily aimed at women, under the patronage of Mary, and “proudly celebrate(s) our (Catholic) literary and artistic heritage and seek to live and teach the authentic faith.”
The month’s issue featured parishes from three continents that are “critical to spiritual wellbeing of Catholics,” and where “Catholics contribute their time, treasure and talent,” and “regularly welcome converts from other faiths, and reverts finding their way home.”
Father Robert J. Pasley, Mater Ecclesiae rector, was interviewed for the magazine, and spoke of the church’s origins, its growth from 75 families in 2000 to the present 500, and its music apostolate, homeschool-based CCD program, Catholic scouting program, and annual dinner theatre.
He also spoke of the “joys” of the church: “the celebration of the sacred liturgy,” and “passing down the traditions of our faith to the young.” As well, the experiences of numerous parishioners from Mater Ecclesiae were featured in the piece.
