Church musicians from throughout the Diocese of Camden gathered at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Sicklerville, on Nov. 22, for an evening of music, art and prayer. Sponsored by the Office of Lifelong Faith Formation – Worship, Music and Christian Initiation, the multi-cultural event was planned to celebrate the closing of the Year of Faith and honor St. Cecilia, patron of music and musicians, on her feast day. The presenter was Brother Michael O’Neill McGrath, an Oblate of St. Francis de Sales and an artist whose studio is in South Camden. Left, participants join in song. Middle, participants bless one another. Right, Jasmin D’Orazio sings a solo. Damaris Thillet, associate director for the Office of Worship and coordinator of the event, called the experience “an inspiring night of prayer, music, art and cultural sharing.”
