On Oct. 24, Bishop Joseph Galante will celebrate the 11th annual White Mass for Healthcare workers at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center Chapel in Camden.
This Mass, co-sponsored by the South Jersey Catholic Medical Association, recognizes members of the Diocese of Camden who have been called to the medical profession as their way of sharing Jesus’ love and mercy, particularly to those in need of healing.
One of the highlights of this event is the presentation of the St. Luke Award to individuals who have upheld and promoted Catholic principles in their role as healthcare provider in this Diocese of Camden.
If you know of a doctor, nurse, chaplain or other healthcare worker who may meet this criteria and would like to nominate them to receive the St. Luke’s Award this year, please send their name and address to the address below. This person could be someone you know through work in your parish or through some work with a charitable organization. You must include a brief statement on how they have promoted Catholic healthcare principals in their professional and personal lives.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, July 16. Kindly send your nomination to: Katherine Boyer, Diocese of Camden, Health Services Division, 1845 Haddon Avenue, Camden, New Jersey 08103 or email Katherine.boyer@camdendiocese.org.
