On Oct. 2, Bishop Joseph Galante will celebrate the 12th annual White Mass for healthcare workers at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center Chapel in Camden.
This Mass, co-sponsored by the South Jersey Catholic Medical Association, recognizes members of the Diocese of Camden who have been called to the medical profession as their way of sharing Jesus’ love to those in need of healing. Each year the St. Luke Award is presented to individuals who have upheld and promoted Catholic principles in their role as healthcare provider in the diocese. If you know of a doctor, nurse, chaplain or other healthcare worker who may meet this criteria and would like to nominate them to receive the St. Luke’s Award, please request a nomination form from Katherine Boyer, Diocese of Camden, Health Services Division, 1845 Haddon Ave., Camden, New Jersey 08103 or email Katherine.boyer@camdendiocese.org
Include a brief statement on how they have promoted Catholic healthcare principals in their professional and personal lives. The deadline for nominations is Friday, July 22, 2011. If you have any questions regarding the Saint Luke Awards or the White Mass, please call 856-342-4125.
