Pascua Juvenil, sponsored for the diocesan offices of Hispanic Ministry and Young Adult Ministry, an all-day event for Hispanic young adults in the Diocese of Camden, aged 18-39, will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Camden.
Themed “Y Todavía No Me Conoces? (And You Still Don’t Know Me?),” the day will include dynamic music, teachings, prayer, and fellowship.
Brother Juan de la Cruz Turcios, a Franciscan friar who serves at St. Anthony of Padua, says it is hoped that the young adult gathering becomes an annual tradition for the Hispanic community.
“It will be a day for young adults to reflect on their relationships with themselves, young adults, their families, and God, and reflect on their responsibilities as Christians,” he said.
Deacon Arnaldo Santos, from All Saints Parish in Millville, will be the morning’s keynote speaker, while Father Rene Canales, from St. Gabriel the Archangel, Carneys Point, will speak in the afternoon.
The cost for the day is $5, and includes lunch.
