Patrick Peyton Athletic Complex
Gloucester Catholic athletes officially had home field advantage for the first time in the school’s 89-year history when the Lady Rams met Kingsway in a Tri-County Conference field hockey game on Oct. 5. Just before the game a dedication and blessing ceremony was held for the Peyton Athletic Complex at Gloucester Catholic in Sewell. The fields are named after Patrick Peyton, a 1977 GC alumnus who was the major supporter of the campaign to build the fields. At left, Father Robert E. Hughes, vicar general, and Father Allain Caparas, Director of Catholic Identity at Gloucester Catholic, bless the fields. Peyton, class of 1977, is seated at left. Photo by Alan M.
