Sacred Heart Church in Camden hosted its annual Gathering for Peace and Justice Feb. 8, with this year’s theme of “Peacemaking in an age of endless war.” Father Robert Gregorio, Star Herald columnist, gave the keynote address, talking on “American Military Interventions and the Conscience of a Citizen.” The day offered a series of workshops, including “Peace and Justice: An Islamic Perspective,” by Zahida Rahman, who helped establish a mosque in Voorhees, and “Primer on Drones: Waging Peace in the Era of Drone Warfare and Surveillance.” The gathering also included a musical performance by Collingswood musician Tony DeSantis, left.
