Ralph Martin, president of Renewal Ministries and Consultor to the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization, will be the keynote speaker for an upcoming workshop called “The New Evangelization.”
Sponsored by the Office of Lifelong Faith Formation-Evangelization, the workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 12, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Holy Family Parish, Aquin Hall, in Sewell.
Martin will give three talks: “What is the New Evangelization? Why Is It Important?” “The Call to Evangelization Derives from the Call to Holiness: Growing In Holiness,” and “Why We Need A New Pentecost: How It Can Happen.”
There will also be small group sharing, and a question and answer period during the workshop.
In addition to serving as president of Renewal Ministries, Martin is the director of the Graduate Theology Program in Evangelization at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in the Archdiocese of Detroit and has written books such as “The Fulfillment of All Desire: A Guidebook for the Journey to God Based On The Wisdom Of The Saints,” and “Will Many Be Saved? What Vatican II Actually Teaches and Its Implications for the New Evangelization.”
He was one of 10 American delegates last fall in Rome for the 25th Synod of Bishops, dedicated to “The New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith.”
Registration for the workshop is $15 per person, or $10 per person for groups of three or more. Lunch is included.
