The memorial honors two school alumni: 1st Lieutenant Salvatore S. Corma II, Class of 2004 and graduate of the 2008 United States Military Academy class, who died at the age of 24 in 2010, while jumping on an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan to save his men; and PFC Edward K.
