Ribbon-cutting ceremony for school’s boarding program

ribboncutting-webSchool president Jeffrey J. Nick, and Sister Philomena Gini, spiritual counselor, with President Emeritus Msgr. Andrew Martin watching, cut the ribbon at the Nazareth House chapel at the opening of Camden Catholic High School’s new boarding program on Thursday, Sept. 8. Originally scheduled outdoors, the ceremony was moved inside due to inclement weather. The Cherry Hill school will have 25 international students from China, Korea, Vietnam, Brazil and India, who will take on a full class schedule. Eighteen international students will live on campus at the Nazareth House, a former convent on the school campus once used by the sisters who taught at Camden Catholic, and later by seminarians and for school retreats. Students will be given a full schedule of classes with the same obligations and requirements as the other students.
