Bill Van Dusen, author of “The True Story of Rocky the Catholic Cat,” visited St. Michael the Archangel Regional School, Clayton, on May 12 and presented his story to Pre-K3 through third grade. Van Dusen serves St. Bridget Church, Glassboro, as an extraordinary minister of the Word.
Good Shepherd Catholic School, Collingswood, seventh grader Camille Chomiczewski submitted a poem as part of the Barnes & Noble “My Favorite Teacher Contest,” nominating her math teacher Denise Lundholm as her favorite teacher. As runner-up, Camille was invited to read her poem at the awards ceremony at the Cherry Hill store.
Girl Scouts at Guardian Angels School in Gibbstown recently delivered over 5,000 diapers to Guadalupe Family Services in Camden. They held a diaper drive and a dance as their Bronze Award Project (the highest award a Junior Girl Scout can earn).
The Christ the King Regional School, Haddonfield, Advanced Band directed by Jennifer Blair performed at the Villanova Catholic School Band Festival on April 18 and scored a Superior Rating.
