Sister M. Caroline Mackiewicz dies

Sister M. Caroline Mackiewicz, LSIC died Oct. 14, in St. Joseph’s Assisted Living, Woodbridge.

Born in 1924 in Bayonne, named Helen, Sister Caroline was a perpetually professed member of the Little Servant Sisters of the Immaculate Conception.

Sister Caroline served orphans, elementary school students and the sick and the elderly. She was remembered as cheerful, even in her final prayer ministry and redemptive suffering.

Sister Caroline is survived by members of her Congregation, her siblings Sister Leona, LSIC, Laura Kowal, nieces and nephews.

The funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Assisted Living (Chapel), Woodbridge, on Oct. 18. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
