The Harlem Globetrotters brought a little CHEER to Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School, courtesy of player Kenny “The Blenda” Rodriguez.
The entire student body at the Ocean View school was treated to Rodriguez showcasing and teaching the Globetrotters’ signature basketball skills, and imparting CHEER, a character development program focusing on Cooperation, Healthy mind and body, Effort, Enthusiasm, and Responsibility.
Rodriguez encouraged the students to match their actions with these five traits, inside and outside the classroom, with parents, teachers, and each other.
Since the 1920s, the Harlem Globetrotters have entertained thousands around the world with their basketball skills and comedy routines.
