Spiritual Formation Day May 20 in Blackwood

“In the midst of our busy lives, it’s important to stop and take time for quiet and for spiritual re-charging,” said JoLynn Krempecki, director of Lay Ministry Formation, Office of Lifelong Faith Formation, Diocese of Camden. “The spiritual formation day ‘From Giving Thanks … to Living Gratefulness’ is an opportunity to do just that.”
Focusing on life experiences that are true gifts of God, attendees will have the opportunity to ponder and to pray – to focus on living in the present moment and seeing everything as a “word of God,” she said.
The retreat day will take place on Tuesday, May 20, from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Emmaus Center, at the St. Pius X Spiritual Life Center, 1840 Peter Cheeseman Road, Blackwood.
Sister Anita Constance will be the presenter. She is a Sister of Charity of St. Elizabeth who has advanced degrees in education and spiritual direction and counseling as well as a certificate in grief counseling. She is a spiritual director and retreat leader. She has served as director of Xavier Retreat and Conference Center and director of pastoral care at St. Anne Villa – both in Convent Station, N.J.
Sister Anita has been a regular contributor to Living Faith for 10 years and served as editor and contributor to Living the Days of Lent since 1995. Her books include “Advent Thirst… Christmas Hope,” “A Time to Turn… the Paschal Experience,” “Night Vision… Praying through Change,” and “A Child Will Lead and A Cup of Grace… To Go.”
All are welcome. Cost for the day is $20. Bring a lunch. Beverages provided. For more information or to register for this event, contact JoLynn Krempecki, director of Lay Ministry Formation, Office of Lifelong Faith Formation, 856-583-6116, or email JoLynn.Krempecki@camdendiocese.org.
