Maxwell Football Club president Ron Jaworski announced the 2012 Mini Max High School Award winners for the State of New Jersey, including Camden Catholic senior football player Jarred Alwan and Paul VI senior football player Allen Trusty.
Both players will be honored on Jan. 13 at the Mini Max Awards Dinner.
Players are nominated by their coaches throughout the 2012 season and were evaluated based on a criteria that includes; academics, football performance and community service.
For the second time, the Maxwell Football Club will host the New Jersey Mini Max Awards Dinner at the Heldrich Ballroom in New Brunswick. This is the only statewide HS football awards program in New Jersey.

The St. Rose of Lima School boys varsity basketball team won both the Bishop Eustace Tournament and Camden Catholic Grammar School Tournament.
The girls varsity won the Holy Cross Lady Lancers CYO Tournament and the Ralph Shaw Grammar School Tournament at Camden Catholic with Kathleen Murphy receiving an all tournament selection along with the MVP of the tournament and Tess Quinn receiving an all tournament selection.
