“Fat Cats or Suffering Servants?” will be the focus of a retreat on March 5 at Christ Our Light Parish in Cherry Hill.
The retreat will teach participants different ways they as families in a parish community become the suffering servants mentioned in the Bible who will be transformed into an Easter people. It is intended to remind participants Lent is a time to be aware of the need for prayer, fasting and charity.
Father Jim Greenfield, OSFS, provincial superior of the Wilmington-Philadelphia Province of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, and Father Matt Hillyard, OSFS, rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden, will be the speakers.
The retreat will take place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Christ Our Light. A free-will offering will be requested. Childcare for ages 3-6 will be provided.
