The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) has presented the 2015 Housing and Community Development Merit Award to the Village Apartments of Cherry Hill for its successful rehabilitation project.
“The NAHRO Merit Award recognizes the hard work of the entire staff and the commitment to mission of the Diocese of Camden, the Diocesan Housing Services Corporation (DHSC) and Village Apartments, Inc. boards in serving our low income senior residents,” said Curtis Johnson, executive director, Diocesan Housing Services Corporation. “It also recognizes the critical support of our funders and the municipalities we work within.”
Recent improvements to the Village Apartments have included new roofing, painting, carpeting, a community garden, and patios and decks attached to the studio apartments.
