Women pray after abortionist’s verdict

women-webThe Memorial to the Unborn on the grounds of St. Lawrence Church, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Lindenwold was the site of a prayer service held by the members of the parish’s women’s faith-sharing group on May 16. The women gathered at the shrine after the verdict that convicted Dr. Kermit Gosnell of killing babies born alive during abortions. They also prayed for the women harmed by abortion. The memorial sits at a corner of the church, in a garden filled with roses in bloom. The prayer group, called the Beloved Daughters of God, also placed flowers at the feet of the statue of the Blessed Mother (which was brought to the site from Our Lady of Grace Parish) which is on a pedestal above the memorial stones. The group has been meeting weekly for a year and a half, and it welcomes women from any parish to join them Thursday mornings from 10-11:30 a.m. at the St. Juan Diego center across the street from the church.
