Beatrice (Bea) Raiker died peacefully on Sept. 28.
Mrs. Raiker was a member of Saint Simon Stock Parish in Berlin for over 40 years, where she served as director of Faith and Family Formation and Youth Ministry for the past 25 years. She ministered to the children and families of her parish with gentle love and compassion.
She completed the Studies in Parish Leadership Course at Seton Hall University for Certification as a Parish Catechetical Leader.
She was a member and served on the Board of the New Jersey Directors of Religious Education Organization as well as CREDO (Camden Religious Education Directors/Coordinators Organization). She also served on several diocesan committees. Mrs. Raiker will always be remembered for her total commitment and dedication to a ministry that she truly loved.
She was the wife for 44 years of Stephen Raiker; the mother of Melissa Raiker and her husband Nick LuQuire; Karin Snoen and her husband Aaron; Stephen Raiker and his wife Kathleen and Michael Raiker and his wife Brittany. She was the grandmother of Kaidence and Nicklous LuQuire; Serenity, Cali and Andrew Snoen and Declan and Beatrix Raiker.
Services will be on Saturday, Oct. 7, beginning with a viewing at Saint Simon Stock Parish (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church), Berlin, 9:30 a.m. to noon. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at noon.
