Bishop Galante announces deacon assignments

Bishop Galante announces deacon personnel changes as follows:

Deacon John Berstecher, formerly assigned to St. John Vianney parish in Deptford to the new parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Lindenwold for a term of three years, effective immediately. Deacon Berstecher’s diocesan ministry assignment will be Bereavement Ministries.

Deacon Anthony Malatesta, formerly assigned to St. Pius X parish in Cherry Hill to the new parish of Holy Eucharist in Cherry Hill for a term of three years, effective immediately. Deacon Malatesta’s diocesan ministry assignment will be Healthcare Institutions.

Deacon Peter Powell, formerly assigned to St. Pius X parish in Cherry Hill to the new parish of Holy Eucharist in Cherry Hill for a term of three years, effective immediately. Deacon Powell’s diocesan ministry assignment will be Prison Ministry.

Deacon Raymond Radziak, formerly assigned to Holy Rosary parish in Cherry Hill to temporary leave for occupational purposes, effective immediately.

Deacon Thomas O’Brien, from Incarnation parish in Mantua to Christ the King parish in Haddonfield for a term of three years, effective April 13. Deacon O’Brien’s diocesan ministry assignments will be Family Life and Marriage Preparation.

Deacon Gary Tankard, formerly assigned to St. Casimir parish in Woodbine to St. John of God parish in Woodbine for a term of three years, effective April 13. Deacon Tankard’s diocesan ministry assignment will be Healthcare Ministries.

Deacon James Hogan, from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden to the new parish of Holy Angels in Woodbury for a term of three years, effective April 21.

Deacon Paul Parchinski, formerly assigned to St. Patrick parish in Woodbury to the new parish of Holy Angels in Woodbury for a term of three years, effective April 21.

Deacon Nicholas Danze, formerly assigned to St. Margaret parish in Woodbury Heights to the new parish of Infant Jesus in Woodbury Heights for a term of three years, effective May 3.

Deacon Michael D’Ariano, formerly assigned to St. Margaret parish in Woodbury Heights to Sts. Peter and Paul parish in Turnersville for a term of three years, effective May 3. Deacon D’Ariano’s diocesan ministry assignment will be Healthcare Ministries.

Deacon Robert Kenney, formerly assigned to St. Margaret parish in Woodbury Heights to the new parish of Infant Jesus in Woodbury Heights for a term of three years, effective May 3.

Deacon Ronald Olesiewicz, formerly on leave will be assigned to the new parish of Infant Jesus in Woodbury Heights for a term of three years, effective May 3.

Deacon Charles Girard, formerly on medical leave is assigned to the new parish of Divine Mercy in Vineland for a term of three years, effective May 3.

Deacon John Schiavo, from Incarnation parish in Mantua to Retired with Faculties, effective May 3.
