Dear friends,
On the weekend of Sept. 28-29 the Diocese of Camden will take up the annual Pro-Life Collection. In Mt 25, Jesus instructs us that our path to eternal life will be decided by how we treat the least of these. This passage is informative to the church in her call to be pro-life. It helps us understand better why the church cares about people who are vulnerable and in difficult life circumstances. This could be a person who is sick or disabled and considering physician assisted suicide, a single mom feeling alone and contemplating abortion, an undocumented immigrant child held in detention while separated from her parents, a homeless person who is hungry and struggling to break free from addiction, or a prisoner trying to rehabilitate his life.
By giving to the Pro-Life collection, you help the Office for Life & Justice Ministries educate and advocate for all people, especially the most vulnerable amongst us. It is a Gospel call and the church needs the support and help all of the faithful to answer this call with conviction. Please support this collection that makes a difference in the lives of our most excluded and invisible brothers and sisters and that will help us be faithful to the demands that Jesus places on us in Matthew 25.
In gratitude for your faithful collaboration and support,
Matt Davis
Director of Life and Justice Ministries, Diocese of Camden
