

Local public safety personnel process into Saint Nicholas of Tolentine Church, Parish of Saint Monica, Atlantic City, on March 8 for a memorial Mass sponsored by the 200 Club of Atlantic and Cape May Counties.
A memorial Mass was celebrated March 8 at the Parish of Saint Monica’s Saint Nicholas of Tolentine Church in Atlantic City to honor local public safety personnel who have died in the line of duty.
The liturgy, celebrated by Father Jon Thomas, pastor, was sponsored by the 200 Club of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, which assists survivors of those who have died.
Participating in the Mass were local law enforcement organizations such as the Atlantic City Police Department (ACPD) Police Explorers Post 14; the Combined New Jersey State Police and ACPD Color Guard; and Atlantic City Fire Department Sand Pipers Pipes and Drums.
Immediately following, there was a brunch at the Tropicana Casino Ballroom with guest speaker Stanley M. Jerlecki, survivor of Police Officer Stanley J. Jerlecki, who was killed in the line of duty in Detroit, Michigan, in 1951.
