The Little Servant Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, the Provincialate-Novitiate of which is in Cherry Hill, has been working diligently to help the victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine – both overseas and by sending parcels by air and sea as a congregation.
In Ukraine, the Little Servant Sisters have 25 religious serving in 10 houses across the country. In Poland, sisters are helping Ukrainian refugees who have fled to the southern cities of Przemysl, Pralkowiec and in six and increasingly more places. In both countries, these sisters are providing women, children, the elderly and those with disabilities with solace, emergency shelter, food, clothing, medicine and more.
In a recent letter, Mother Dorota Baranowska, LSIC, provincial superior, explained that their Generalate in Stara Wies-Brzozow and Provincial House in Krakow, Poland, have also been welcoming mothers and children. To help fund these corporal acts of mercy, she is encouraging monetary donations be sent to Little Servant Sisters, 1000 Cropwell Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 (Ukraine & Refugees) or lsic.us/online-giving.
All donations will be used solely for the charity fund for which they are designated in Ukraine and in Poland.
“Let us pray for peace for Ukraine and the crisis refugee situation,” she said.
