The Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal held a Lenten retreat March 21-23 titled “Hope for the Church” at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Collings Lakes.
“God loves you,” Sister Joseph Von Munster, CFR, currently serving in Saint Michael Convent, Atlantic City, said during the retreat. “We don’t have to earn it; we don’t have to be perfect; we don’t have to have it all together. … Isn’t that great? Isn’t that helpful? We are loved right now, in the big mess that we are, through all the complications in our life. … God is here, right now, and he loves us.”
The retreat, which included reflections on the life of Saint John Bosco, featured talks from the sisters, Adoration and music. Priests from around the area were available for the Sacrament of Confession.
