Pro-life advocates throughout South Jersey are invited to gather June 11 to be a voice for the unborn and learn best practices in ministering to mothers and families during a program titled “United for Life.”

Sponsored by the Diocese’s Office of Life and Justice, the event will take place at Our Lady of Sorrows Church Hall, 724 Maple Ave., Linwood.
The program begins with a noon lunch, followed by a 1 p.m. program that will include guidance from seasoned diocesan and local pro-life leaders on beginning and maintaining an effective life ministry in parish communities, says Donna Ottaviano-Britt, head of the Diocese of Camden’s Secretariat for Pastoral Outreach.
The gathering is a perfect opportunity to “re-energize and re-engage” pro-life advocates’ efforts, and provide ways for newcomers to “learn from those who work in this ministry,” Ottaviano-Britt said. Participants will be able to network, get to know and share with others, she said, while also “praying for the strengthening of this work, to help the unborn and their families.”
In addition to Ottaviano-Britt, guest speakers for the day include Father Mark Matthias, administrator of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish in Haddon Township; Ethel Hermenau, LifeNet project director of South Jersey, and leaders working in their respective parish’s pro-life ministries.
