About 175 men and women of faith gathered Oct. 8 in prayer and worship for the annual Camden Diocese Catholic Renewal. The daylong event included Mass and keynote talks from Father Rene Canales, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Lindenwold; Father Franklin Opara, parochial vicar of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, Northfield, and Father Damian Anumba, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Corbin, Ky. Gathered in Saint John Paul II Regional School, Stratford, South Jersey’s Catholics also took part in a healing service, the praying of the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet, Confession and Adoration.
