South Jersey Catholic Cemeteries is offering an enhanced option for its Garden Permit Program.
Called Garden Permit Prime, the initiative offers families upgraded landscape edging at an annual rate of $50. The standard Garden Permit Program, which includes black plastic landscape edging, will continue at $35 a year.
The expansion was brought after feedback from families, says Paul Martin, director of cemeteries.
“Recently, we received requests from a number of our families for a more enhanced landscape border. After researching options, we feel it’s a great idea to offer a choice of landscape edging to our families,” he said.
“Created to give families flexibility by offering a specific area in front of their loved one’s grave for memorialization,” Martin says, the program allows families the ability to plant flowers in a designated and secured area in front of their loved one’s monument marker.
The 2022 Garden Permit Program begins on or around March 21, and South Jersey Catholic Cemeteries has already begun accepting applications for 2022; families can receive the greatest benefit from the program by signing up by March 15.
Garden permit applications are available at the cemetery offices or at the South Jersey Catholic cemeteries website. Completed applications along with payment should be returned to a local cemetery office.
If a family has already completed and submitted payment for the 2022 program and would like to upgrade, call the local cemetery office for further guidance.
