GLOUCESTER CITY – Monmouth Street was lined with those born Irish – or maybe just Irish for the day – to watch the 11th annual Saint Patrick’s Parade the afternoon of March 1.
The parade, presented by the New Jersey Irish Society, Gloucester City and the Camden County Board of Commissioners, featured tons of entertainment, including music by the Gloucester City Irish Society Pipes and Drums, the Durning String Band and more. Bob Kelly of FOX 29 News was back for another go as celebrity host; clergy including Father George Seiter and Msgr. William Hodge, Saint Mary’s pastor and former pastor respectively, joined the parade.
Gloucester Catholic High School’s very own Anne Barron and Mary Ann Saunders were this year’s grand marshals – and of course, the parade’s first-ever grand marshal, Bishop Emeritus Dennis Sullivan, made an appearance!
