The faithful of Saint Brendan the Navigator Parish, Avalon, came together April 24 in celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday. Before Mass, the afternoon started with the Sacrament of Confession, the Divine Mercy Chaplet and a procession at Maris Stella Church, one of two parish worship sites. Mass was celebrated by Father John O’Leary, a retired priest of the Diocese and former pastor or Our Lady of the Angels, Cape May Court House. People, he said, “are looking for an invitation to trust in the Lord. That’s what Divine Mercy is all about.” (Photos by Dave Hernandez)
