The 16th annual Blue Mass, honoring law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency responders serving in the six counties of the Diocese of Camden, will be celebrated on Sept. 29, the feast of the Archangels Michael, Raphael and Gabriel, at Blackwood’s Our Lady of Hope Parish, Saint Agnes Church.
The liturgy, celebrated by Bishop Dennis Sullivan, is a time for the law enforcement, firefighter, and first responder community to “receive the prayers and support of the public, remember those who were killed in the line of duty, or passed away this past year, and support their families,” said Deputy Chief David J. Harkins, Staff Commander of the Gloucester Township Police Department.
“We’re very happy to have the support, guidance, and prayers of Bishop Sullivan and the faithful,” Deputy Chief Harkins added.
All are invited to attend the Blue Mass at Our Lady of Hope Parish, Saint Agnes Church, on Friday, Sept. 29 at 10:30 a.m.
