Former U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy visited third graders at Assumption Regional School in Galloway Township on Friday, Feb. 10. Recently, the third graders have been researching biographies of U.S. presidents past and present in preparation for President’s Day, Feb. 20. Kennedy, a former eight-term Democratic congressman from Rhode Island, son of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy and nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, spoke to students about his experience in the House of Representatives and provided some insight on the Presidential Office. Above, Kevin Bell, as Abraham Lincoln, reads to Kennedy. At right, Kennedy explains the book “St. Francis of Assisi” by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
